Iloilo Business Club was an active partner in the organization of Job Fairs with the Iloilo City Government, Department of Labor and Employment, H.A.L.I.G.I. Foundation and SM City Iloilo from 2004-2009. The project was part of Iloilo Business Club’s support to the needs of the members and local businesses in securing important manpower. The Job Fairs also gathered key national government agencies that provide services to applicants, employers and employees.
Iloilo Business Club was proud to support the Supply Chain Management Association of the Philippines (SCMAP)’s 2017 Immersion Trip to Iloilo on May 13-14, 2017. As the biggest network of supply chain stakeholders in the Philippines, about 19 major companies were represented in the group’s visit to Iloilo led by the association President, Nestor Felicio of United Laboratories.
Aside from the industry and city tours, SCMAP conducted the forum “Supply Chain Perspective” held at the Days Hotel which was attended by about 120 participants from Manila, Iloilo and neighboring provinces. IBC Vice Chairman and Philippine Foremost Milling Corporation’s vice president for trade mills, Engr. Terence Uygongco, joined the roster of speakers to share on their company’s logistic operations, challenges and best practices.
Iloilo Business Club helped the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and the Spanish Commercial Office, Embassy of Spain in organizing “Feria Española” on June 29-30, 2005 at the Grand Ballroom of the Hotel Del Rio. The two day trade fair was participated by sixteen (16) exhibitors selling olives, wines, hams, colognes and other Spanish products. The event also featured Flamenco lessons and special performances were given by Señor Guillermo Gomez of Centro Flamenco and Wine Appreciation Seminars by international consultant, Sherwin A. Lao. Chef Alexandra Cacho of the famous Gaudi Restaurant also did Spanish Cooking Demonstration for culinary students.
Ilonggo businessmen, students, government partners and media guests attended the one-day GO NEGOSYO sa Iloilo caravan organized by Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship – Go Negosyo and the Iloilo Business Club in partnership with Central Philippine University on September 12, 2009 at Rose Memorial Auditorium..
