Policy Advocacy

We are at the forefront of issues concerning the business sector. Iloilo Business Club, Inc. holds membership to various regional and local policy making bodies to represent and put forth critical agenda to improve planning and development, service delivery and the local business climate.

We formulate position papers and issue official statements regarding local and national legislation and current events. We network with other local, regional and national business organizations in the country to dialogue and support advocacies that influence important reforms and polices.

Tourism Promotion

To boost efforts to promote the Province and City of Iloilo as a tourist destination, Iloilo Business Club, Inc. pursues partnerships and roles that provide capacity development of local stakeholders, discover new markets with potential for growth, and improve services and facilities. We organized pioneering events such as Tourism Summit and “Sinubli”, the first culture, arts and heritage summit which gathered key public and private sector representatives in the tourism industry to discuss policy recommendations, areas collaboration and strategic projects, programs and activities.

Since 2000, Iloilo Business Club, Inc. handled the marketing and promotions of the multi-awarded biggest tourism event in the Philippines, the “ILOILO DINAGYANG FESTIVAL”. Trainings on Customer Service, Food and Beverage Service, Diplomatic Protocol, and International Cuisine were conducted in partnership with the Local Government Support Program for Local Economic Development of the Canadian Embassy – Manila in 2014. Information handbooks and the Fascinating Iloilo map were also produced and distributed.

Investment Promotion

Iloilo Business Club, Inc. is one of the founding business organizations of the Iloilo Economic Development Foundation, Inc., a non-government and non-profit consortium of public and private institutions, companies and individuals. As interim Secretariat, Iloilo Business Club supports projects initiated by the strong leadership of the ILED Foundation from the Provincial and City Governments of Iloilo, Department of Trade and Industry – Iloilo, business groups, individuals and companies from Iloilo and Manila.

The Club also partners with national government agencies, private companies and individuals that assist investors and business in locating and growing their business in Iloilo.

Business Support

Projects and activities of Iloilo Business Club are carefully selected to support the needs of its membership and the business sector in general. Economic data and information from key national government agencies and local government units are accessed for members upon request. General membership meetings, seminars and trainings are organized for the benefit of members and businessmen. Projects like job fairs, conferences, and trade fairs are organized to provide opportunities for promotion, networking and knowledge generation.
